It’s certainly never too early to start planning for next year too, especially as events in the Lake District have the added bonus of amazing landscapes to revel in, while you’re getting your boogie on!

Music On The Marr

18-21 July 2019

Commencing in just a few days, Music on the Marr is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, with even more music; dancing, and good ole fashioned Cumbrian hospitality! Celebrate what makes Cumbria the place to be at this fantastic little not-for-profit festival in the village of Castle Carrock.

Aspatria Music Festival is an annual non-profit live music festival based in Aspatria, North of Keswick. Held in a great central location, with shops only 2 mins walk away; experience a fantastic view of the fells and mountains as you dance the night away. Featuring Pink and Pink Floyd tributes, amongst others this year, it promises to be a fun weekend for the whole family.

Kendal Calling

It’s not too late to buy tickets for the Lake District’s biggest music festival! This amazing weekend spectacular features music this year from the likes of Courteeners; Doves; Manic Street Preachers; Nile Rodgers; Tom Jones, and many more. So, pack your tent and head for the fields, for a Summer festival you won’t soon forget!

LDSM Festival

27 July - 9 August 2019 (2020 TBC)

Lake District Summer Music is an international music and arts festival, with chamber music at its heart. Each year, LDSM features more than 40 events in venues all over the South Lakes, including Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside, Grange-Over-Sands and Ulverston.

Centred around Hawkshead Brewery's 'Beer Hall', There’s no better place to host the perfect Lake District Folk Weekend. Taking place place in the picturesque Lakeland village of Staveley, near Kendal, this year promises to be jam-packed with amazing folk bands from far and wide.

A festival for cover-band lovers. You’re guaranteed to be singing along to all your favourites at this unique and energetic festival at Hutton-in-the-Forest, near Penrith.


23-25 August 2019

“Springing up annually like a wild flower in the Cumbrian meadows”, Solfest is one of the best loved independent festivals in the UK.

You’ll find an eclectic mix of hand-picked musical genres and an immersive, family-friendly environment, with plenty to see and do, when you’re not getting your boogie on.

Ambleside Days – A Contemporary Music Festival

29th August - 1st September 2019

Ambleside Days is a contemporary jazz festival run by local business, Zefferellis. It takes place every year in the popular tourist village of Ambleside. Hosting an impressive plethora of talented jazz musicians, both local and from further afield.

The Keswick Jazz Festival runs over four days in May, with an amazing, international cross-section of entertainment venues across Keswick. You can purchase a ‘stroller’ ticket, that will allow you to visit any of the performances at will.

Headlined by The Peatbog Fairies this year; next year promises to be another rip-roaring event. Keswick mountain festival is so much more than music though. Enjoy camping; talks; sports events; races; amazing food; real Cumbrian ales, and much more at this family-friendly weekend of fun in Keswick!

Ireby Festival

22-23 May 2020

Ireby is a small farming village situated about 12 miles from Keswick. Ireby festival consists of a wide and eclectic range of music, performed in small, intimate venues, as well as a main stage venue.

Cockermouth Live

28-30 June 2019 (2020 TBC)

Cockermouth Live is a celebration of local Lake District musical talent. This year Cockermouth Live boasted a whopping 18 venues; 90 performances, and over 500 performers!
