'philosophy'
It would be very easy to put together an extensive list of wines, which reflect more of a desire to impress rather than to please.
At Dale Head Hall, Country House Hotel, We feel that wine is more to do with pleasure and enjoyment rather than pomposity and snobbery.
That is why our wine list of about ninety or so wines has taken us a long time to put together. Our wines are imported from all around the world and are selected especially to give our guests are high degree of choice featuring some old favourites as well as some new world greats.
These are all wines that we are immensely proud of and which are excellent examples of their regions and style.
They have been selected according to their taste rather than on their name or vintage and quality is always the determining factor in our selection process. Our aim is to encourage you to spread your vinous wings and fully enjoy the many wonders that the world of wine has to offer. Many of the wines on our list are shipped direct from smaller estates who prefer to bottle themselves rather than sell their grapes or juice to local negociants. In this way they control the entire wine making
process from planting the grapes to bottling the final result. We believe these wines are invariably of higher quality and do command a loyal following.
Aware that some may find a whole bottle overfacing, or would like a different wine with each course, we have included a larger than ever selection of half bottles.
We also offer a significant selection of wines by the glass.
