Christmas at Dale Head Hall
in The Lake District
A Traditional family Christmas
Would you like to spend Christmas right in the heart of the Lake District? Where you can look out of the window out across lawns that sweep down to the lake? Where there are no crowds and the air is fresh and clear?
Then come to Dale Head Hall to celebrate Christmas, in this elegant 16th Century manor house where a warm welcome and a crackling log fire awaits you. Christmas music plays in the background and the lights on the tree shine on the tinsel and gifts beneath.
We cannot promise you enough snow to make a snowman…,, though you may, if you are lucky see (Santa’s?) deer in the garden… however a warm hearted and peaceful festive season awaits you in an exclusively situated Lakeside Hotel. We invite you once again, to come and enjoy our very special kind of hospitality.
Christmas Eve
On your arrival we will soothe away the stress of your journey as we ask you to join us for mulled wine and mince pies in front of the log fire. After that perhaps a stroll by the lake, a visit to Keswick or perhaps taking time to wrap those last few presents before we ask you to join us and fellow guests for our very special four course Christmas Eve Dinner.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day starts with the youthful excitement as you open your presents. In the dining room, to start the day, Bucks Fizz and a hearty breakfast awaits you, enough we hope, to sustain you until the afternoon, when we ask you to join us for champagne cocktails in the lounge. before we serve our traditional Christmas Dinner.
A seven course gastronomic delight with all the trimmings and if we are very lucky Santa may even pay us a visit!
For those who wish, we can recommend a moonlight stroll on the lakeshore to round off this full & happy day and, for anyone who still has any hunger pains… a finger buffet will be served later in the evening.
Boxing Day
Throughout Boxing Day we shall keep the spirit of Christmas truly alive. In the morning a Cumbrian breakfast is served then, you can perhaps take a stroll along the lake shore amidst some of the Lake District’s finest scenery. Or perhaps enjoy a sail on either of Lakes windermere, Ullswater or Derwentwater. Whatever you choose, enough fresh air and exercise we hope to prepare you for our last culinary feast, a delicious farewell dinner.27th December
